Drake has been making waves in headlines since he dropped his latest album Views. According to Billboard, Views earned 1 million equivalent units in the first week of its release and moved 850,000 in traditional sales.
Though the Toronto native is always topping charts with hits, Drake scored his first solo No. 1 song in the country with One Dance. Knocking out “Panda” by Desiigner, One Dance took over the chart this week on the Billboard Hot 100. The wins keep coming in as all of the songs on Views also charted on the Hot 100. The album is now officially the biggest release since Adele’s 25 which was dropped last year with 2 million sold. One can only hope that a visual for the hit single will be followed up with a video.
Even with mixed reviews since the debut, Drake remains untouched when you look at the success from the charts. Views makes is the 6th #1 album from Drake, following his previous works What a Time To Be Alive (with Future, in 2015), If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late (2015),Nothing Was the Same (2013), Take Care (2012) and Thank Me Later (2010).
