Party boys, Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi are back with their sophomore album, SremmLife 2. Reflecting back to all the hits they gave us these last two years, you could understand why one would be wondering if they could elevate their momentum with their follow up project.
With features from Kodak Black, Juicy J and Lil Jon, as well as SremmLife Crew affiliates, SremmLife 2 is a great way to celebrate the end of summer.
Start the Party , Real Chill, By Chance
When the liq hits you:
Black Beatles, Set the Roof, Shake It Fast, Look Alive
When the clubs over and you’re coming down from partying:
Now That I Know, Take It or Leave It, Do Yoga, Swang
The album begins with high energy and club upbeat tracks and slowly descends the high with slower beats and flows. The features compliment the duo’s party aesthetics and keeps the turn up vibe going with Gucci Mane on “Black Beatles” and Kodak Black on “Real Chill”. “Black Beatles” is definitely the stand out track on this album 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. The appearance of Lil Jon gives the album a “shots, shots, shots” vibe on “Set the Roof” and of course, Juicy J snaps on “Shake It Fast”. Rae Sremmurd have morphed from less gimmicky tracks than and have found a new way to get the people hype in club fashion. Also can we talk about how Swae Lee spazzed on almost every track? If he’s gonna be dropping heat like this on his solo project, Swaecation, then I’ll be tuned in for it. *Drake voice* he’s just too good!
Personal favorites: By Chance, Look Alive, Black Beatles, Take It or Leave It, Real Chill
